Coffee Cakes

Average review score:

Worth the WeightThis book has excellent, if sometimes difficult recipes for everything from simple loaf cake to fancy cheese cake layered with coffee cake and fruit. I have not been even remotely dissapointed with any of the 10 (out of more than 70) cakes I've made. If you like to bake and are looking for different and delicious this has to be on your shelf.

The Coffee Shop Days
Published in Paperback by Xlibris Corporation (July, 2001)
Average review score:

A True, Modern American StoryThe Coffee shop days is the story of a teenage alcoholic and criminal named Ben, his life and struggles one the streets of San Jose, California, the book chronicles his adventures ((and misadventures)) in crime, drugs, relationships, and alcholism.
It does not get much more real than this, the author writes in a way that draws you into the story, the characters are very real and interact in a way that reminds you of people you know, or local figures of lore, such as the birdman of alcatraz.
If you liked American Beauty or The Catcher in the Rye, you will like this True american story.

Coffee, Cookies, and Inspiration

A lovely book for yourself or a friendThis book appealed to me on two levels, as I collect cookbooks and I'm a Sunday School teacher. Although it's meant for adults to share their faith with others, I found that it gave me wonderful ways to do something new and different in my Sunday School classes.

Excellent, interesting, and extremely informativeIf you want to know ANYTHING about coffee, then this is the book for you. Not only does it talk about the history of coffee, but it also discusses today's coffee industry and all of the different types of coffee. The photographs and lay-out make it an excellent "coffee table" book. You will definitely enjoy it!
If anyone knows of any other coffee mill/grinder antique books that are out there and available would you let me know. I am on another quest.
Thanks ...
